hello,
you do alot of talking about strad violins,but you don't really say anything about this violin other than it has been repaired.do you have an appraisal from the N.M.M. or the smithsonian to verify that this is a true strad?your opinion about the violin really doesn't matter when your asking 7 figures.i also seriously doubt a violin of the quality your claiming, has some how ended up in alabama.i also did some checking on your "expert". Mr. Gerard Murphy, Atelierviolins, London.does not exist as best i can tell.as you say this is the information age, and all the resources i have at my disposal reveal that Mr Murphy doesn't exist.if Mr Murphy does exsist,can you provide me with the information so that i might contact him?i am very interested in discussing this violin with him.
